You have to customize certain weapons to dedicate them to your Hall of Monuments so I make sure it is a weapon I plan to use the majority of the time. For example, I would have no problem customizing a Tormented Curses Staff since I will use that weapon and need to dedicate it.

Guild Wars has to be the only game where people will grind forever to attain rare weapons and end up being weaker for it because they are afraid to customize them. Its quite peculiar.

A few months ago my account got hacked and the gold seller who did it sold off all my gear...except 5 weapons that were customised.....that's enough reason for me to do it

My sins Tormented Daggers are customized cause meele is her main source of damage. +20% makes a big difference when doing things like solo HM Minister Cho's Estate.

If it were +20% more damage of spells from item's attribute that would be a different story.

I always thought that customizes caster items (staves, wands & offhands) should have given extra energy if customized...say about 20% more. Shields should also be able to be customized for extra defense.

That said, my monk and mesmer use +5 energy swords specifically because I don't want them wanding.

Poorer people buy 100e+ weps and then re-sell 3 months later when they get bored of it

/signed for caster weapons receiving different bonuses than melee
/signed for shields receiving armor bonus

However, at this point since these things aren't implemented only my melee weapons are customized except for caster weapons that are dedicated in HoM.

What if I want to use it on another character? This is what DvG and all the other seasonal pvps are for for me. So FAIL for no account customizing. Maybe then I might do it.

PS: If you doing it to prevent being hacked, that doesn't stop hacking at all. They can still trash anything they want.

Also its just so menly have sword worth 500e+ customized on warrior u'll never use!

They can strip the account then use it to "sell" your account in all trade for a quick buck if anyone falls for that method. I agree, customizing is the least of your problems if they get it suspended or worse.

For PvP, if I'm using a PvE char I always make sure everything is customized.

For PvE, physicals always, casters rarely.
